HELLO

Portrait of Edward-large.jpg

My name is Edward Wung, founder of TransRelated.com. I am so glad that you visited my website. Hopefully, you will find the help you need here.

I started to interpret for business meetings when I was in college in 1999, and I have been working in the bilingual, multicultural world ever since. Training is key in getting the job done, but years of real-world experience is what gets it done correctly and beautifully.

Since I was certified as a Mandarin interpreter by the Supreme Court of Washing in 2011, I have worked for nearly 100 courts locally and around the country, from municipal courts to federal courts, including the biggest court systems here, such as King County District Court and King County Superior Court.

In addition, I have been requested to interpret by numerous law firms in many depositions, attorney-client meetings, interviews and investigations. Of all the thousands of hours interpreting, I have covered an extensive array of hearing types and subject matters.

With such a prestigious credential and the close proximity to many global enterprises such Microsoft, Boeing, Amazon and Starbucks, just to name a few, I have had the honor and privilege to interpret in many conferences for them, in many executive and leadership development programs, global conferences, and meetings with many delegates from many Chinese major companies and government entities.

Quite frequently, I was deeply touched by the contents and information I got to interpret, and therefore learned in those conferences. Sometimes, I was also surprised to see the mistakes that certain companies had made. I am not claiming that I am a legal expert and eligible to give you any legal advice, because I am not. However, I have learned so much what seemed like a common sense and is obvious to me, but it is not so to many others; for example, hiring an attorney or doing due diligence.

That is my goal. I want to help you navigate the complicated situation, which is already challenging enough due to the language barrier. I will help you, with my expertise in the Chinese language and culture, and my experience of learning from experts AND mistakes, put together the resources you might need to achieve the goal you desire.
